Outfits Lately: 7 Effortless Looks I’ve Been Wearing on Repeat
Here are a few favorite outfits I’ve been reaching for lately: easy, comfortable yet pulled-together looks that feel just right for the season! These are the kind of pieces I rely on when I want to feel chic without overthinking it. Think light layers, soft denim, neutral tones, and a few French-inspired touches (bien sûr!)
May Gray and June Gloom have been no joke this year in California! If you’re ever planning to visit coastal Southern California around this time, just a heads up: the marine layer is real, and it tends to stick around for weeks. Hence the light layers and pants sprinkled throughout these looks!
I put together a quick video walking through each outfit, so you can see the full looks in motion. And if you listen closely, you’ll catch me pronouncing the days of the week in French, just a fun little detail I couldn’t resist!
Let’s dive in!
The Looks
Lundi / Monday - “Neutrals & To-Dos”
White cropped jacket, brown tank, light-wash denim, woven sandals, and a straw mini bag.
Why I love it: This cropped white jacket is such a staple for me. It instantly brightens up any outfit and adds a layer without feeling bulky. The length is key here: it hits at just the right spot to highlight the waist when paired with high-rise jeans.
Styling tip: If you're ever feeling “meh” about jeans and a tank, just add a jacket or blazer in a fresh color (like this off-white one), and swap your tote for a smaller bag. It changes everything.
Mardi / Tuesday - “Fresh Start in White”
Embroidered white blouse, white jeans, cream Mary Janes, and a woven clutch.
Why I love it: I always reach for pieces with texture or detail when I'm going monochrome. This blouse has the prettiest embroidery, it keeps the look from feeling flat while still staying super neutral and wearable.
Styling tip: If you're wearing all white, mix textures to make it feel more elevated: cotton with embroidery, denim with frayed hems, woven accessories. Oh, and don’t stress about the whites matching perfectly. Close enough is chic enough!
Mercredi / Wednesday - “Provence in the City”
White eyelet blouse, straw hat, vintage-style denim, espadrilles, and a woven bag.
Why I love it: This blouse feels so nostalgic in the best way. It’s romantic, timeless, and pairs beautifully with anything high-waisted. The straw hat adds that little French countryside fantasy, even if I’m just popping out for coffee.
Styling tip: Eyelet is one of those details that instantly softens a look. I like to pair it with more structured denim to balance things out, and a straw hat always adds a fun, effortless touch for sunny days or third-day hair.
Jeudi / Thursday - “Soft Denim Mornings”
Blue denim overshirt, ribbed cream tank, wide-leg cream denim, and brown sandals.
Why I love it: This light denim overshirt is such a comfortable staple. I love layering it over softer pieces. It gives the whole look structure without feeling heavy. And the blue-on-cream combo always feels fresh and calm.
Styling tip: When wearing wide-leg pants, I like to keep the rest of the outfit streamlined but not tight. A ribbed tank adds just enough contrast in texture, and leaving the shirt open keeps it airy. Brown sandals warm up the whole palette.
Vendredi / Friday - “Lunch Plans, Maybe”
Silky white button-down, light-wash jeans, lace-up espadrilles, and a woven tote.
Why I love it: There’s something about a flowy white blouse that always feels elegant. This one is lightweight and slightly sheer in the best way. It drapes beautifully and feels so soft against the skin.
Styling tip: I like to do a loose front tuck into high-rise denim to define the waist while keeping the movement of the fabric. Lace-up espadrilles are the perfect summer shoe to add that little extra oomph without trying too hard.
Samedi / Saturday - “From Café to Sunset”
Off-the-shoulder black top, straight jeans, gold earrings, and Mary Janes
Why I love it: This off-the-shoulder top is a forever favorite. It frames the collarbone so beautifully and feels just a little flirty. Paired with classic straight-leg denim and simple accessories, it’s the kind of outfit that works from morning coffee to evening plans—easy, flattering, and always chic.
Styling tip: I usually go for a statement earring and a sleek bag to add a little polish. Mary Janes keep it feminine and comfortable, especially if I’m out and about all day.
Dimanche / Sunday - “Soft & Slow”
Flowy brown linen sundress, woven sandals, and a straw bag
Why I love it: This linen dress is so breathable and comfortable, and I love how the rich brown tone feels grounded but still soft. The ruffled straps and easy silhouette make it one of those effortless pieces I always reach for when I want to look put-together without trying.
Styling tip: I lean into the natural textures here, braided sandals, gold hoops, and a straw bag keep the whole look simple, earthy, and just right for a relaxed Sunday.
A Few Pieces I’m Clearly Obsessed With
Woven bags Big or small, they pull every outfit together
Embroidery & eyelet details Just enough visual interest while staying neutral
Fisherman sandals & Mary Janes Comfy, flattering, and very French
Soft-toned denim From white to light-wash to cream, they’re all on heavy rotation
Final Thoughts
These are the outfits that have been on heavy rotation! Simple, put-together, and full of those little details I love. I hope they give you some fresh inspiration for your own closet, or even just an excuse to pull out that blouse or bag you forgot you loved!
